ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Marie Gin was born in France and spent much of her life travelling and living abroad, including several years in the United States and across Africa. It wasn’t until she moved to Paris at the age of eleven that she discovered a love of writing. It began with poetry, grew into short stories and eventually became the world now known as The Stone of Four Fires, which she started writing in French at fifteen after moving to Australia.

When university began, the manuscript was set aside while Marie studied a year of law in Strasbourg. She later returned to Australia, completed a Bachelor of Interactive Media and went on to build more than a decade of experience in marketing. That combination of storytelling, digital media and audience insight now shapes both her writing and MaGin Books.

When Marie returned to the story, she translated it into English and briefly combined the first two books into one manuscript. Eventually, she chose to tell the series as she had always intended: across four books.
